microneedling

Microneedling is a safe and effective treatment option for a variety of skin conditions and is suitable for all skin types.

Microneedling uses multiple fine, sterile needles to penetrate the skin causing microscopic channels.

 

This intentional, controlled injury initiates a skin healing response, resulting in the increased production of collagen and elastin. The end result is thicker, plumper, firmer and smoother skin. 

​

There are two types of microneedling devices, derma roller and a derma pen. 

 

Here at KDJ Aesthetics I use the dermapro pen microneedling system.  This enables needling to be delivered at the correct depth and speed by increasing and decreasing as required during the microneedling treatment.  This is not achievable with derma rollers as they are one depth only.  The dermapro pen oscillates resulting in 82,800 micro channels being delivered to the skin per minute.

 

Serums are used as a glide for the pen which will also target your skin concern. Alternatively you can have blood plasma microneedled into the skin (see PRP treatment).

LED light is used after treatment to help soothe and calm the skin.
